Deputy Head of International Primary School

 

Purpose of Role 

To drive as part of the Senior Leadership Team the learning, people development and growth in the International Primary School ensuring it is the School of Choice.  To lead on a specific Key Stage and developmental area of the primary school inspiring others and modelling a self-reflective, self-improving approach.  To ensure that colleagues are supported and provide amazing learning by setting high expectations and providing continuous development.  To contribute to a culture supporting the safety and wellbeing of all members of the community.

Specific Responsibilities Student Wellbeing and Progress

  • To take responsibility for safety and wellbeing of all students and adults in the primary school as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Leading colleagues to ensure progress is tracked and benchmarked and that assessments support progress of our young people.

 

Joint Responsibilities as part of the Primary Senior Leadership Team

  • Empower teachers to focus on the quality of learning in the school working with SLT for progress towards the 9 criteria ISP Learning Improvement Process.
  • Lead, inspire and develop middle leaders, teachers, and administrative staff in the primary school.
  • To contribute to a focus on the four key areas of the Primary School – Learning, Experiences, Community and Futures – aligning with the ISP vision of ‘Schools of Choice’.
  • Model and contribute to the effective articulation of the story of the Primary school with focus on the principal area of responsibility.
  • Support the Head of Primary in the growth and success of the Primary school against its KPIs.
  • To work with and contribute to the wider group and articulate the benefits.
  • Develop effective relationships based on a culture of partnership.

About our School

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park is a special place where all successes are celebrated, from academic, music and drama performances, eco-awards to sporting events. The busy school is on a 20-acre purpose-built campus that is equipped with modern facilities for learning and teaching. The Campus consists of two schools – an international school that follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), National Curriculum for England (UK), IGCSE and A-Level programmes; and a Malaysian private school, Sekolah Sri Tenby, following the Malaysian curriculum.
